10-speed automatic transmission is among the innovations.
Ford introduced the European version of Ranger Raptor in August of last year. In mid-2019, the dealer will be replaced by the Raptor with the make-up versions of the standard Ranger.
The new fog lights of the Ford Ranger with Make-Up, which do not look very different from the outside, do not differ much from its predecessor, except for the overhauled front. Changes in the cabin are also limited to leather upholstery in the upper packages.
Besides, the changes brought by makeup are concentrated in places where the eye is not touching. The European version of Ranger will be powered by the 2.0-liter turbo diesel from Ford’s new EcoBlue engine family. The first two steps of the engine, which offers 130, 170 and 210 hp power options according to the market, will be fed from a single turbocharger and will replace 2.2 TDCi. The powerful variant will benefit from two turbochargers and retire 3.2 TDCi.
The 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine offered in the United States will not set foot on European soil.
All Ford Rangers will be all-wheel-drive. 10-speed automatic transmissions, which are claimed to improve fuel consumption by 10%, will be responsible for the transmission of power from the engine to the wheels. For the customers who want a manual 6-speed gearbox will be available.
Ford said Make-up Ranger will be the first pick-up in Europe to offer pedestrian detection assistance and Intelligent Speed-stabilizing technologies as standard. Pick-up’s lightened enclosure cover with keyless entry and start-up hardware will now work with the central system.
With the power of 210 BG, Ranger will probably blow the minds of VW Amarok V6 receivers. In addition, the partnership between VW and Ford will be a kind of “cousin” in the long run. The sales of the new Ford Ranger are expected to begin in mid-2019.
