The successor of Agera RS has finally arrived.
The Swedish-based Koenigsegg introduced its predecessor, Agera RS, which produces 1,600 horsepower at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. The new hyper car is named after the father of Christian von Koenigsegg, the founder of Koenigsegg, Jesko von Koenigsegg.
Using a revised version of Koenigsegg’s 5.0-liter double-cycle V8 engine, the new Jesko produces 1,280 horsepower and 1,600 horsepower with the E85. Producing 1,500 Nm of torque at 5,100 rpm, the car outputs 1,000 Nm between 2,700 and 6,170 rpm. The vehicle’s downforce power increases by 40 percent compared to the Agera RS 1,000 pounds.
The updated V8 engine works together with the new nine-speed transmission, “light speed Transmission” is called by the company. In theory, the multi-clutch transmission, similar to the current dual-clutch transmission, is said to be “lightning-fast”.
Koenigsegg produces many parts of the car, including the engine, from lightweight materials, which explains the net weight of the New Jesko at 1,420 kilograms. The car’s cabin features a wireless charging unit, a 9-inch information entertainment system and USB ports.
The standard version of Koenigsegg Jesko will have a price of $ 3 million, while options such as interior design customizations and entertainment system add-ons will raise the price.
