The car has power options up to 620 horsepower.
Audi has made the official announcement of the R8 super car that it made up for 2019. This super car has maintained its usual 5.2-liter V10 engine. So the previous turbocharged V6 engine rumours have been wrong. But Audi did not neglect to increase power in this current engine. At the same time, the design and technological features of the R8 have been updated.
In terms of design, when we look at the Make-Up R8, we notice sharper lines than before. We can say that the front grille of the vehicle is expanding and looks beautiful with its structure separate from the side air intakes. In addition, these large air intakes at the edges of the front bumper have also contributed to the sporty look with their curved structure. In the rear, we see that an air intake covers the back of the vehicle. The diffuser underneath the rear bumper is more pronounced than before. At the same time, Audi has replaced the engine protection piece just below the hood with a new 3-piece lid.
The R8 V10 performance Quattro (equivalent to the R8 V10 Plus in the old generation) will have Matte Titanium details while the base version of the Make-Up R8 will have bright black details in the outer body. The bright black details are an option in the base version R8, while the V10 performance Quattro can also be selected as matte titanium if desired. The cab of the Make-Up R8 remains the same in general, except for some upholstery colors.
The standard R8 with V10 engine produces 550 Nm of torque with 570 horsepower. This means 30 horsepower and 10 nm torque increase compared to the previous version without make-up. The car accelerates from 0-100 km/h to 3.4 seconds for the Coupe, and 3.5 seconds for the convertible. The maximum speed of the Coupe is 322 km/h and the convertible is 322 km/h.
The R8 V10 performance Quattro is a development of the base version, with a power of 620 horsepower and 580 Nm of torque. This means that the R8 V10 Plus will increase by 20 Nm with 9 horsepower compared to the previous R8 Plus. This version of the 0-100 km/h acceleration is 3.1 for the Coupe, 3.2 seconds in the form of convertible. The maximum speed is 331 and 329 km/h, respectively.
Audi Sport engineers have also updated the R8’s suspension. The transitions between the driving modes are more pronounced and the R8 V10 performance Quattro has been added to the three new modes. These are determined as dry, wet and snowy ground. With the Electronic Stability Program updates, the vehicle stops at 100 km/h less than 1.5 meters. Starting at 200 km/h, the stop distance is 5 meters shorter. With all these up-to-date features and up-to-date design, the Audi R8 with Make-Up will be available in Europe in the first quarter of 2019.
